Schoolhouse Electric Co. is based in Portland, Oregon, a city renowned for its livability and historical sensitivity. Portland's revitalized Central Eastside is brimming with new companies, transforming a formerly secondary business district into a beautiful area for working, shopping, dining and collecting. Schoolhouse Electric Co. is proud to be a part of the Central Eastside revitalization, where businesses are breathing life back into storefronts and working to preserve the district's architectural integrity.

Portland Retail Showroom
Our Portland retail showroom is located in the historic Cully Building, originally built in 1884 by John Cully to house his hardware and stationers store. Before Schoolhouse Electric Co. opened for business, company owner Brian Faherty spent a year renovating this stunning High Victorian Italianate brick and stucco building into a beautiful, efficient design and retail complex. The building's restored storefront is home to our retail showroom, where you can see our line of hand-crafted, American-made, solid brass lighting fixtures and our extensive collection of exclusive American-made, handblown glass shades that have been out of production and unavailable for over fifty years. Please stop in next time you are in the neighborhood. We hope to see you soon!

Portland Factory
Our factory is located two blocks east of our Portland showroom in a 1910, two-story warehouse building we recently restored, which for years was the home of the Centric Elevator Co. Our production facility includes a state-of-the-art patina shop, where skilled craftspeople carefully handcraft and finish raw parts before passing them on to our assembly workshop, where our crafts-people build each fixture to your specifications.

New York Retail Showroom
We are proud to introduce our newest classroom: a Schoolhouse Electric Co. showroom in New York City! Our showroom is located on the corner of Hudson and Vestry in Tribeca, New York's emerging design district. We are excited to bring our products back to their birthplace and to be part of the synergy in the Tribeca neighborhood, where many of the country's most innovative products and inspirational designers are defining twenty-first century taste and style. Come see us the next time you are in the Big Apple!
