Luminaria joins the Schoolhouse Electric lighting team
Schoolhouse Electric has been getting straight A’s when it comes to period lighting in the Northwest. The Portland company, which has been open for just more than one year and has established a great reputation among old-house lovers as a supplier of spot-on reproductions retro light fixtures, recently decided to branch out into large-scale residential and commercial restoration projects by acquiring Luminaria, a Spokane, Wash. – based period lighting manufacturer. “We’re excited to gain Luminaria’s 20 years of experience and amazing in-house talent and to be able to provide inspiring lighting not only to homeowners but to architects and designers as well,” says Michelle Steinback, the general manager of Schoolhouse Electric. “The companies are kindred spirits: We share a passion for craftsmanship and great lighting.’
