Inspiration-to-Room: Summertime

Category: All Category: Inspiration

At Schoolhouse Electric, we welcome those who are curious and interested to take a look behind-the-scenes into our inspirations -- the bits and pieces gathered in our daily lives that shape the Schoolhouse Electric collection. As a result, we post a seasonal feature called {Inspiration to Room} that we hope will allow you to share in our muses and influences. Each season Sarah Culbertson, our Director of Merchandising and Co-Creative Director, will share a curated group of our pieces that share a common thread with an inspiration image that catches her eye.

Sarah says:

In the summer, I always feel inspired to experiment with new colors and patterns. The colors that have recently caught my eye are an updated take on the classic color wheel. While the blues and reds take on a brighter hue, the palette is balanced by a soft pink, mustard yellow, and meadow green. These colors mix well with black and white, and pairing them with neutrals adds calm to a space. Reminiscent of vintage home decor trends that we are so often drawn to at Schoolhouse, these colors are both fresh and fun - perfect for the summer season.

Taking cues from the collage of collected photos, I've pieced together an inspiration room that reflects the casual, yet lively vibe of summertime.
